The Royal Opening through Twitter

Posted by gazjjohnson on 4 December, 2008

And so we bid farewell to the Royals.  It was a rather nice experience to chat to the Queen myself, if only for a couple of minutes.

Meanwhile , the Web 2.0 community here at Leicester got together today to cover the visit of her Majesty and His Royal Highness.  This really made the experience come alive, especially for those of us who met her in passing and wondered what was going on else where.

You can find the archived tweets here: http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23hrhdwl

Looking forward to seeing the offical press and media coverage later, and not just because I got interviewed!  Pictures hopefully later when I’ve access to my camera cord.

[Edit: here are some of the pictures I’ve located to date]
